Balance and Thrive Child and Family Therapy helps children and families feel safe, connected, and supported.

Rooted in a trauma-informed, neurobiologically responsive, and developmentally attuned approach, the focus is on what sits beneath behaviour—shifting from “What’s wrong?” to “What does this child need?”

Offering play therapy, child and youth therapy, and caregiver/parent support in Cape Breton, Nova Scotia, this work is grounded in child-centered, relationship-based care. Sessions create space for children to express themselves, build emotional awareness, and grow confidence and resilience.

Each child’s story is met with care, with a focus on connection and regulation. Caregivers are supported in strengthening relationships and creating meaningful, lasting change beyond the therapy space.

Balance and Thrive walks alongside families with care, curiosity, and compassion.
